Beaches

Lefkada is renowned for its amazing white sand beaches and turquoise water that dot the entire length of the island's coastline. The beaches closest to Amalia Apartments are Kathisma, Myloi, Agios Nikitasis, Potisies, Pefkoulia, Kalamitsi, Porto Katsiki and Egremnoi.

Kathisma is the most renowned and organized beach in Lefkada. Very long and wide it will impress you with its turquoise waters and its white pebble beach. It has chaise lounges, umbrellas, tavernas and beach bars.This is also where paragliders land when flying from the rear hills of the island.

Picturesque Agios Nikitas with its crystal clear water, ideal for swimming is a small and popular cove with caiques and anchored boats.

Kalamitsi, Kavalikeuta, Megali Petra and Avali are all beaches near the village. They are beautiful with clear blue water, pebbles and white sand, and rocks that jut up from the water and extend to the beach to offer you the illusion of a secluded beach.

Other beaches of Lefkada are Agios Yiannis, Gyra, Kastro, Ammoglossa, Gyalos, Lygia, Episkopos, Nikiana, Periyiali, Nydri, Desimi, Rouda or Mikros Yialos, Ammouso, Agiofyli and the beach of Vasiliki.
